Residents of Abu Shagara Not Happy with Car Brokers

Posted by Samar Huneidi on Jan 12, 2015

Residents of Abu Shagara are complaining about the car brokers hired by showrooms of used cars nearby that are annoying them all the time and trying to persuade them to buy cars. Living between these illegal car brokers is becoming a menace they say.

Director of Search and Investigation department at the Sharjah Police, Col Jihad bin Sahoh, said that they are continuing in their inspection campaign that targets illegal activities.

According to the CID, police arrested 775 illegals in the period from November until the end of December. They were practicing activities such as illegal brokering.

The Sharjah Municipality issued identity cards to the owners and staff of used car showrooms to fight this activity. The employees have to wear these cards when dealing with customers or municipality officers. But, there is no plan of shifting the Abu Shagara used-car market to Al Roq’ah Al Hamra area.
