Revealed: Jaguar F-Pace 300 Sport and 400 Sport

Jaguar has revealed a couple of sporty versions of the variants - the Sport 300 and Sport 400, well the naming of them was pretty expected right. Anyway, on a more serious note, Jaguar says that the two new variants “broaden customer choice” as they will now be able to choose between Ingenium diesel mild-hybrid power or a more exciting straight six.

The Sport 300 has Jaguar’s inline 3.0-litre diesel which can be found across the F-Pace range but what’s different here is that the powertrain has hybrid powers in this case and is able to store energy generated during braking in a 48V battery.

If you want all that cool hybrid tech, but with more power, then the Sport 400 will suit you with its mild-hybrid straight six producing 395bhp (100bhp more than the Sport 400) and 406lb ft.

But it’s not all about the powertrain and hybrid systems. The Sport cars also got, not fifty, but just two shades of grey, gloss black detailing, option of 21 inch or 22 inch forged wheels, and a panoramic roof. And because we live in the 21st Century, the lovely Pivi Pro infotainment in these F-Paces supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa

Adam Hatton, Exterior Design Director, Jaguar, said: “Developing the new 300 SPORT and 400 SPORT models gave us the opportunity to subtly accentuate the F-PACE’s inherently assertive, purposeful design and deliver an even more confident on-road presence, while beautiful, rich materials – including Windsor leather, Suedecloth, and meticulously-crafted veneers – make the interiors even more luxurious. Together with the quiet, effortless performance from the six-cylinder engines, the new F-PACE 300 SPORT and 400 SPORT will make every journey extraordinary.”
