Saab 93 is Back

Posted by on Dec 2, 2013

This is good news. Saab will officially resume production of the 9-3 at the Trollhättan plant in Sweden from today. Saab was a brand known for its intellectual drivers. It was founded in 1947 and worked independently until GM took over in 1999 but failed to make it profitable. Hence they sold it to Spyker in 2010 but no luck there as well and they shut it down completely in 2011. Majority of Saab’s shares are owned by National Electric Vehicle Sweden but that company itself is partially owned by Chinese city of Qingdao, which ordered the production back on track by end of year. As a result, 600 workers were brought back to start production of 9-3 which will be sold in China and Sweden next year.
