Senior Citizens to get special car stickers in Ajman

Senior citizens in the emirate of Ajman will soon receive special car stickers to inform other motorists that they should give way or slow down when approaching these vehicles. A month-long awareness program ‘Slow-Down’ that has been launched by the Ajman Police in cooperation with the Ministry of Community Development, aims to improve the quality of life of senior citizens and expats in the emirate.

Senior citizens can place these stickers on the back of their cars so that motorists behind them can slow down or give way, as necessary. Motorists are urged to give way to senior citizens to ensure their safety and a sign of respect.

Maryam Salem Al Salman, president of the Emirates Association of Senior Citizen Friends at the MoCD, said this awareness campaign supports the national strategy to protect and secure seniors' welfare.
