Shaikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, a 25-kilometer-long highway that connects Dubai-Al Ain Road with Al Yalayis Road in Jebel Ali, opens today and serves residents of several new communities such as The Villa, Remraam, and Falcon City. Running parallel to Mohammad Bin Zayed Road (E311) and Emirates Road (E611), it extends into Dubai Investment Park through the roundabout on Al Yalayis Road.

“The new road has several intersections with the surrounding roads network. A flyover has been constructed at the intersection with Latifa Bint Hamdan street near the entrance of the Global Village for motorists coming from Emirates Road. The network also includes a signalized junction at the intersection with Al Qudra Road and a surface signalized junction at the intersection of Hessa Street,” said Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA.

Built at a cost of AED 474,000,000, the new eight-lane highway will ease the commute of those who rely on Dubai-Al Ain road and Mohammed Bin Zayed Road to reach areas such as City of Arabia, Global Village, Arabian Ranches, and Dubai Sports City. A part of Expo 2020 Dubai’s development projects, the new highway is part of RTA’s master plan for improving roads, bridges, crossings and underpasses to accommodate the growing traffic volumes in all parts of Dubai.
