Sharjah Municipality launches new parking service

In a bid to increase convenience for all drivers residing and visiting the emirate of Sharjah, the city municipality has rolled out a new feature that allows motorists the option to book parking spaces for more than one hour via SMS.
Currently available to Etisalat customers and with Du customers expected to be able to avail the service in the coming days, this update remedies a longstanding issue that allowed motorists to only book for one hour at a time in the past.
The service aims to enhance utility and prevent fines from forgetting to renew or extend the parking ticket validity. To avail this service, motorists should text “Plate Source – Plate Number – Number of Hours” to 5566.
