Tesla’s Model S takes the crown in Norway

Posted by on Oct 9, 2013

Tesla is on a roll. After launching their Model S in Europe in August, this car has already become Norway’s best-selling car in September. It took the crown from the VW Golf as per the official figures – Model S had market share 5.1% while Golf had 4.6%. It was mainly due to the customers’ anticipation and the fact that they did not want to wait a few months for a new one and were ready to buy a used one instead from an existing owner for $20,000 extra. This is surprising since the Model S is not actually cheap and costs above $110,000 in Norway.

Some of the highlights of the car are as follows.

·         Top speed: 201 km/h

·         0-100 km/h: under 5.5s

·         Range: ~480 km on a single charge

This car is already sweeping awards all over the world and has become the best seller in its native land – USA. We only wish we could see this car in this region soon.
