Tesla Model 3 Facelift: What’s New and Improved

Tesla has introduced a life update for its popular Model 3, bringing some exciting changes to its appearance, interior, and efficiency. This electric sedan competes with high-end models like the BMW i4 and Mercedes EQE. While it will be available for purchase in Europe this October, UK customers will have to wait until 2024 to get their hands on one. The expected price range starts at around £42,000.

New Tesla Model 3 Design

In terms of design, the new Tesla Model 3 maintains its shape. Receives subtle enhancements. Notably, the headlights have been redesigned to appear slimmer and sharper, contributing to their aesthetic. The fog lights are now integrated into the headlights, while the front bumper adopts a design with fewer vents.

The side profile of the car remains largely unchanged; however, there are options for alloy wheel designs, in both 18-inch and 19-inch sizes. Additionally, two new paint colors have been added; a red and an elegant, stealthy grey.

Moving towards the rear of the car, notable updates include taillights that stretch across the tailgate as a piece.

The bumper has undergone a redesign, resulting in an appearance. Additionally, the boot badge now features the word "Tesla" displayed in chrome letters.

New Tesla Model 3 interior

The interior of the new Tesla Model 3 follows the same minimalist approach as before, with hardly any buttons or switches in sight. The dashboard is dominated by a large 15-inch touchscreen, which controls most of the car’s functions and features. The screen has been upgraded with a brighter and more responsive display, and it also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The dashboard also features a new LED strip that runs across the width of the car, creating a more ambient lighting effect. The trim panel below the screen can be personalized with different colors and materials, such as wood or carbon fiber.

Tesla has improved the interior quality and comfort of the new Model 3, with better materials and sound insulation. The windows are now made of acoustic glass, which reduces wind noise and road noise. The seats are also more supportive and adjustable, and they come with heating and ventilation as standard.

New Tesla Model 3 batteries and range

The new Tesla Model 3 uses the same batteries as the previous model, but it has managed to increase its efficiency by 8% thanks to some aerodynamic improvements. The car also has specially-made tires that reduce rolling resistance and increase range.

The rear-wheel-drive Model 3 has a 57.5kWh battery pack that gives it a range of 346 miles on a single charge, up from 305 miles. The dual-motor Long Range model has a 75kWh battery pack that gives it a range of 423 miles, up from 374 miles. The Performance model is expected to have the same range as before, around 352 miles.

The new Model 3 can be charged using Tesla’s Supercharger network, which includes more than 25,000 stations globally. Any other appropriate public or private charging station can also be used. The vehicle can add up to 200 miles of range in only 15 minutes thanks to quick charging at a rate of 250kW.

New Tesla Model 3 motors and performance

The new Tesla Model 3 has the same motors as the old model, but they have been tweaked to deliver better performance and handling. The rear-wheel-drive model has a single motor that produces 279 hp, while the dual-motor Long Range model has two motors that produce a combined 351 hp. The Performance model has two motors that produce a whopping 527 hp.

The rear-wheel-drive model can accelerate from 0-60mph in 6.1 seconds, while the dual-motor Long Range model can do it in 4.4 seconds. The Performance model can do it in just 3.1 seconds, making it one of the fastest cars on the road.

The new Model 3 also boasts a better suspension system, which increases its stability and agility on all types of roads. Additionally, it offers a new Track Mode that enables users to customize traction control, stability control, and brake bias settings to fit their driving preferences.
