Tesla launches Model S and Model X in the UAE

Electric Vehicle manufacturer Tesla, recently unveiled its magnificent line-up to the UAE public and the EV community in the country. Allowing select guests and the region’s media to get up close and personal with the Model S and Model X, Tesla has begun accepting online orders for both models in the UAE, with deliveries expected to begin in the summer.

The launch of the UAE’s dedicated online platform, is supported by a pop-up store in The Dubai Mall, Tesla Ranger service, and a service centre that is currently under construction on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road. In addition to Dubai, the American manufacturer plans on increasing its foothold in the country with the opening of a store and service center in Abu Dhabi next year.

While Tesla’s current charging network includes two Supercharging stations at The Last Exit in Jebel Ali and Masdar City in Abu Dhabi, plans are to increase that number to five by the end of the year. Tesla’s Destination Chargers, which are currently available at 26 locations across the UAE, are to benefit from an additional 50 chargers by December.

With seven unique versions of the Model S on sale and four different versions of the Model X on offer, prices range from AED 275,000 to AED 531,000 for the Model S and from AED 344,000 to AED 536,400 for the Model X.
