The first Crisis Operations Centre and Accident Investigation Centre in the Middle East have opened in Dubai by The Roads and Transport Authority.

The latest technologies have been implemented in the centre to allow investigations and 3D simulations to learn how to prepare for an accident.

Emergencies that affect the authority’s activities or services to customers will be handled by the crisis centre, while investigations, analysis of samples and performing technical tests will be handled by the accident centre.

Giant screens, 5,000 cameras fitted on trains and stations, cameras monitoring roads and areas are found at the crisis centre, in addition to hotlines and emergency response teams.
