The Most Expensive Cars Currently On Sale

1. Rolls Royce Ghost

While having slightly smaller measurements than their flagship model Phantom, the Ghost is every bit a Rolls Royce. Marketed towards (extremely rich) clients who want to drive on their own, the Ghost boasts better speed, handling dynamics, and ease of driving than the massive and sometimes cumbersome Phantom. It is a hyper-luxury vehicle through and through; the exterior and interior are extremely luxurious and each car can be customized according to the owner’s desires.

2. Lamborghini Aventador

Many people forget that at the time it was released, the Lamborghini Aventador represented the cutting edge in sports car craftsmanship. The latest in a long line of supercars that started with the Miura in 1966, the Aventador is extreme in every single way: from its looks to its performance. Driving this machine, powered by Lamborghini’s V12 engine that generates over 700 horsepower, provides a sports car experience like no other. Years after it first came out, the Aventador is still on a class of its own.

3. Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato

This car is a collaboration of Aston Martin and Zagato, the same designing firm that created some of the most memorable cars in Aston Martin history. The Zagato takes the already-formidable Vanquish S and takes it to the next level. Both the exterior and interior are at par with the most extreme sports cars out there. A V12 engine that generates a max of 592 horsepower and a tuned suspension gives the Zagato true supercar performance. The Vanquish Zagato is not just expensive, but it is also available in very limited numbers.

4. McLaren P1

The P1 is considered as the spiritual successor of the legendary McLaren F1. This car is a product of McLaren’s extensive experience in motorsport, creating a car that’s quick on the track, civilized on the road, and fun to drive everywhere and at any speed. Its unique hybrid powertrain produces more than 900 horsepower. Combined with a carbon fiber body and chassis and an adaptive suspension, this car is capable of record-breaking numbers on the track. The P1 is a hypercar unlike any other, and is worth every bit of its astronomical price tag.

5. Bugatti Chiron

The Chiron is the successor to the legendary (and notoriously expensive) Veyron. Just like the Veyron, the Chiron is designed to beat production car speed records, and yet be drivable in normal road conditions. Bugatti took lessons learned from building the Veyron, and took them all to the next level. A more lightweight carbon-fiber chassis, a more aerodynamic body, larger wheels and tires, fortified suspension and transmission, and an engine capable of producing 1500 horsepower give the Chiron enhanced abilities, most notable of them attaining a top speed of 261mph.
