The Rimac Nevera has completed final winter testing with customer deliveries set to start

The Rimac Nevera is one of the most awaited electric hypercars. As is the case with every electric hypercar these days, the Nevera is all about mind boggling power figures and winning the game of EV top trumps. It has got a quad-motor setup that offers 1,914 horsepower and 2,360 Newton-meters of torque. Thanks to all those monstrous specs it can do 0-100 km/h in 1.97 seconds.

However, delivering all that performance on the road is a different ball game altogether and so ahead of customer deliveries Rimac has been testing the Nevera and recently the hypercar completed its final winter testing. The Croatian company took it to Sweden for extreme winter testing with temperatures said to be around -15°C (5°F).

At the winter tests, Rimac applied the final touches on systems like  ABS, ESP and torque-vectoring while also testing the Rimac’s winter tyres, the Pirelli P Zero Winter, developed jointly by Rimac and Pirelli. For summer conditions Rimac offers the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S for the Nevera.

"Testing on a low grip surface like this allows us to make consistent and accurate observations on how our systems are performing in low temperatures. Things happen much more slowly than they would do on asphalt, and we have nice, even, smooth handling tracks so we know the data we get isn’t affected by surface imperfections or temperature swings. After these two weeks of testing, we’re happy to see exactly the results we wanted to achieve," said Miroslav Zrnčević, Bugatti-Rimac Chief Test and Development Driver.

With the final winter testing done, now it's time for the 150 Rimac Neveras to reach the customers. Rimac has said that it will be starting deliveries of the €2 million hypercar in a couple of months.
