Toyota Camry brings Hybrid power to Virtual Auto Show

Posted by Zaran Tarapore on Dec 22, 2019

The Toyota Camry Hybrid has earned its reputation as a reliable and worthwhile investment. Offering all the benefits the standard Camry is known for, along with the added power and fuel efficiency, the Camry Hybrid sits in a class of its own with no direct competitors. At the region’s first-ever Virtual Auto Show, the Camry Hybrid is accompanied by the recently launched RAV4 Hybrid.

Subtle differences stand to differentiate the Hybrid model from the standard car, such blue emblems in the front and back, distinct badges on the fenders, and light blue trim on the door panels. Having said that, the Camry Hybrid is still moderately sporty with a bold slatted grille, LED headlights and taillights, and a beautiful set of 18-inch alloy wheels.

The 2.5-liter 4-yclinder engine under the hood is paired to an electric motor and produces 37 horsepower more than the standard car, pushing combined outputs to 215 horsepower. To aid it in saving fuel, the Hybrid model is also equipped with a CVT transmission as opposed to a 6-speed automatic in the standard car.
