Toyota to show updated FCV-R soon

Posted by Samar Huneidi on Sep 2, 2013

An updated version of Toyota’s FCV-R concept is going to be presented at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show, which will more closely resemble the production version that is coming up. The original FCV-R concept was first shown in 2011, which is Toyota’s commitment to launching an affordable fuel cell vehicle by 2015.

Toyota believes FCV-R’s extended-range electric car with a hydrogen-powered fuel cell stack which serves as the range extender is ideal for energy sources and emissions challenges, because the vehicle produces zero emissions during operation and hydrogen is abundant.

The car is about 15.5 feet in length and can seat about four adults.

Have a look at the pictures.
