Al-Futtaim Toyota, the exclusive distributor of Toyota vehicles in the UAE, launched the all-new Yaris Sedan 2018 at a private event held in Dubai’s popular H Hotel. Aimed at first-time buyers and new license holders in the country, the Yaris Sedan offers enhanced comfort and safety while retaining its quality, durability, and reliability.

Saud Abbasi, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Toyota, said: “the Yaris Sedan is one of the key models not only for our retail customers but also for our corporate and SME partners. The new model offers so much more than superior value and best-in-class fuel efficiency. The interior, exterior and cutting-edge technology are ideal for aspiring young executives and small families alike.”

From an exterior standpoint, the all-new Yaris flaunts sharp headlamps and a flurry of dynamic angles while being 15mm longer and 30mm wider than the model it replaces. Its masculine stance is accentuated by a horizontal grille, LED Daytime Running Lights (in the SE+ variant) and larger, more elegant taillamps. The eight-hue-strong color palette includes exciting shades of red and dark blue to accompany the more popular shades of white, black, and silver.

With its lengthened wheelbase offering more room to front and rear seat occupants, the 2018 Yaris ups the comfort and convenience quotient while welcoming an array of technology in the form of LED lit cupholders, a Smart Entry & Start System, cruise control, automatic air conditioning, six speakers, and USB/AUX audio inputs. Available in two colors, Black and Ivory, the cabin exudes the feeling of spaciousness and welcomes simulated stitches for an added dose of luxury.

Powered by one of two engines, a 1.3-liter unit or a beefier 1.5-liter powerplant, the Toyota Yaris Sedan 2018 churns out a maximum output of 106 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque when equipped with the larger engine. Both variants direct their grunt through a 7-step CVT transmission and deliver class-leading fuel economy figures of 20-kilometers/liter.

Going up against the likes of the Honda City, Hyundai Accent, and Kia Rio, the all-new Yaris wears a starting price of AED 59,900 for the SE variant and a significantly steeper AED 79,900 for the SE+.
