Vadiraj Manjreker And His Gorgeous Toyota FJ Cruiser

Posted by Zaran Tarapore on Apr 15, 2021

Thrill seeker, adventurer, off-roader, call him what you may, but Vadiraj is a man who loves spending time outdoors and his gorgeous Toyota FJ Cruiser is proof of that. Today, we speak to the proud owner of one of the nicest and cleanest modified FJ Cruisers in the country.

What car do you currently drive?

I currently drive a 2016 Toyota FJ Cruiser and it is quite heavily modified to suit my lifestyle.

Have you owned any interesting cars in the past?

Yes, I definitely have! I had a 2014 Dodge Charger RT in the past and that was definitely a very different car to own and drive compared to my FJ.

What got you into cars?

I think like a lot of others, it was my love for Hot Wheels and video games like Need For Speed that really helped build and shape my automotive passion.

What is unique about your car? Have you customized it in any way?

As someone who spends a lot of time outdoors and specifically in the desert, my car has been built for extreme off-roading. It is a practical and budgeted build so it doesn’t have the best of everything, but it has the essentials to get me to the middle of the desert easily and back home safely. Modifications on my FJ include OME-BL51 suspension, Total Chaos upper arms, Method MR106 Beadlock Wheels, Yokohama Geolander off-road tires, a performance air intake system, a Borla exhaust, a skid plate for underbody protection, and a few off-road lights.

Do you have any upgrades or modifications in the pipeline?

My future plans include a suspension upgrade to the Kings dual suspension setup to allow for long travel. I am also looking at improving my performance by getting throttle body spacers, Doug Thorley headers and cat-back exhaust, new off-road lights, and a visual overhaul by getting a better off-road bumper, adding a hood scoop, and possibly even some vinyls. Yes, it’s a long list but I am a car enthusiast and you know how it is, you can never stop modifying…

Tell me one car you would swap your current car for?

I’m sure like many other off-roaders, if there is one car that I am really looking forward to and would also be willing to swap my current car with, it would have to be the 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands 4DR.
