Dubai, UAE - A VIP owner of several vehicles has over 9.4 million AED in traffic fines and they are not being waived, as reported in The National newspaper UAE. This and several other VIPs associated mostly with government institutions, public bodies and car hire companies have overall raked over 14.3 million AED in over 20,000 violations.

"Absolutely no one is waived their fines, the chief of Dubai Police included, unless there is a substantiated objection," Maj Gen Mohammed Saif Al Zafeen, head of Dubai traffic, told Al Ittihad newspaper, UAE.

It's time these people were named in the media unless they cooperate with Dubai Police and pay their fines!
