Four young Emirati men were rescued by Air Wing officials of Abu Dhabi Police, after being stranded in the desert.

Emarat Al Youm reported that the operations room received information about the men who had their car stuck in the desert somewhere between Nahel and Al Ain International Airport, and that 2 of them were suffering from fatigue.

The young men in their 20s first tried calling their friends for help around 6am during the weekend, but their friends could not trace their location so they called the police for rescue.

Immediately, the Air Ambulance team were to the rescue and treated the two young men who were tired and thirsty.

Brigadier General pilot Ali Mohammed Mazrui, Director, Air Wing, Abu Dhabi Police,  warned residents to be careful on long desert trips, especially in the summer, adding that they should keep emergency numbers with them at all times.

As reported by Emirates24/7.
