Introducing the Audi Q6 e-tron: A New Era in Electric Mobility

Audi Q6 e-tron

The all-new Audi Q6 e-tron has finally arrived, kicking off Audi’s biggest product launch yet. With over 20 new models, including more than ten fully electric ones, set to be released by the end of 2025, it’s clear Audi is serious about the future.

Its debut was nothing short of spectacular, featuring jaw-dropping stunts at iconic landmarks across Oman, Qatar, and the UAE. The Q6 e-tron was introduced to the region in a way that perfectly blends innovation with local culture.

Guests at an exclusive week-long event in Khorfakkan got the chance to experience the full power and advanced tech of the Q6 e-tron firsthand. It was the perfect setting to highlight Audi’s electric future.

In the GCC, you can now place orders for the Q6 e-tron quattro starting from USD 79,194*, while the SQ6 e-tron starts at USD 93,399*.

A New Era for Audi in the Middle East

On 21 October 2024, the Audi Q6 e-tron officially made its Middle Eastern debut, symbolizing a bold new direction for the brand. This isn’t just about a new car—it’s about Audi doubling down on sustainable luxury and pushing the boundaries of electric mobility.

The launch events were a blend of cultural celebration and technological showcase. Audi brought together driving experiences, daring stunts, and an impressive backdrop of iconic locations to introduce the Q6 e-tron in style.

A Regional Unveiling to Remember

Audi didn’t hold back. The Q6 e-tron was unveiled in a stunning showcase across five of the region’s most iconic locations.

From the Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi with the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in the background, to Doha’s Museum of Islamic Art Park, and even Dubai’s Museum of the Future—every venue added to the sense of occasion. Sharjah’s House of Wisdom and Muscat’s Al Mouj complex rounded off a tour that was both visually breathtaking and culturally significant.

Audi’s message was clear: the Q6 e-tron represents a fusion of innovation and tradition, technology, and design.

The Engineering Behind It

Under the hood, the Q6 e-tron is built on Audi’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE), allowing it to balance power, range, and sustainability effortlessly. It boasts a range of up to 625 kilometers (according to WLTP) on a single charge, making it perfect for long drives.

The SQ6 e-tron offers up to 598 kilometers of range. And when it comes to charging, both models shine. Thanks to the 800-volt system, you can charge up to 255 kilometers in just 10 minutes. A quick 10% to 80% charge takes just 21 minutes at high-power charging stations. No more waiting around.

Power and Precision Combined

With dual electric motors powering each axle, the Q6 e-tron delivers all-wheel drive with a combined output of up to 285 kW. The SQ6 e-tron takes things further with 360 kW, hitting 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds.

Both models come with adaptive air suspension, ensuring a smooth ride whether you’re navigating city streets or more rugged terrain. It’s precision driving at its finest.

A Design That Stands Out

Audi’s design philosophy evolves with the Q6 e-tron, blending bold looks with improved aerodynamics. The sharp body lines and innovative air intakes not only look sleek but also boost performance.

And then there’s the lighting. The Q6 e-tron introduces a world-first: active digital light signatures for both headlights and taillights. The second-generation digital OLED rear lights offer car-to-x communication and even proximity detection, while the Advanced Digital Matrix LED headlights provide customizable light patterns to match the surroundings.

Inside, the Q6 e-tron is all about luxury meets tech. The fully digital MMI touch response system puts control at your fingertips, seamlessly connecting you to navigation, media, and safety features. The latest Audi virtual cockpit offers augmented reality navigation, enhancing the driving experience.

And in the Middle East, Audi has added the MMI front passenger display as standard. Now, everyone in the car can enjoy entertainment or vehicle info during the ride.

Experiencing the Future

In late October, Audi hosted an exclusive driving event in Khorfakkan. The invited guests, including media and influencers, got to test the Q6 e-tron’s electric performance across various terrains. The scenic coastal roads provided the perfect setting to experience the car’s superior range and handling.

Audi also hosted workshops led by product specialists, who gave attendees a deeper dive into the vehicle’s advanced features and Audi’s future strategy for electric mobility.
