Audi has unveiled its latest fully electric vehicle, the Q8 e-tron, for the first time in the Middle East. This new flagship SUV boasts a fresh design and numerous updates, particularly in the front fascia.
Audi's History in Electric Mobility
The renowned four-ringed brand made its initial foray into electric mobility in 2018 with the launch of the Audi e-tron, setting new standards in the luxury electric SUV segment. The new Q8 e-tron continues the pioneering e-tron narrative and stands out in its class with an advanced driving concept and improved aerodynamics.
Audi's New Identity Design
Furthermore, the Q8 e-tron is the first model to feature the new logo design with the word "Audi" on the B pillar, representing the brand's new institutional identity with a two-dimensional design of the iconic rings. Audi utilizes an air diffuser on the single frame to highlight the four rings and the vehicle's front end.
Audi's Electric Model Range
The Audi electric model lineup includes six models, including the Q8 e-tron, with plans to expand to over 20 electric models by 2026, aligning with the ambitious "Vorsprung 2030" strategy.
Daily Use Efficiency
This new vehicle leads Audi's fully electric lineup in terms of daily usability, thanks to its enhanced efficiency and range before requiring a charge, which reaches:
- 582 kilometers for the Q8 e-tron
- 600 kilometers for the Q8 Sportback e-tron

New Name and Corporate Identity
Audi indicates through the name of the vehicle that it is the strongest model among electric SUV and crossover options, with the exterior design of both the Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron representing a significant evolution in Audi's electric vehicle design language.
Luxurious Interior
The Q8 e-tron offers numerous comfort features in the cabin, including:
- Four-zone climate control
- Air purification system
- Massage function
- Side-support seats
- Ambient lighting package
Additionally, a panoramic glass roof option is available, creating a refreshing atmosphere in the cabin and enhancing the feeling of spaciousness.
Powertrains
Two powertrain options are available with the electric all-wheel drive:
- Q8 55 e-tron and Q8 Sportback 55 e-tron with two motors producing 300 kW and 664 Nm of torque.
- SQ8 Sportback e-tron - the most powerful of the three - featuring three motors generating a combined output of 370 kW and 973 Nm of torque.
Larger Battery and Faster Charging
The Q8 55 e-tron can charge at a rate of up to 170 kW, allowing the large battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes. Audi also offers an optional AC charger with a power output of up to 22 kW.
Production and Sustainability
Sustainability is a fundamental pillar for Audi, which aims to enhance sustainability across the entire value chain. The company is committed to achieving zero emissions by 2050.
Market Availability
The Q8 e-tron will be available through local dealerships in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, and Lebanon starting from March 2023.
