Introduction
Are you dreaming of owning a Lamborghini Urus but can't make it happen for any reason? Today, we will discuss the new Audi RS Q3, which I consider to be the closest alternative to the Italian beast.
Audi RS Q3 Design
The reason I compare the RS Q3 to the Urus is due to its enhanced aesthetics along with a significant amount of sporty performance.
At the front, you'll find a bold and somewhat controversial new design that combines multiple ideas, making it a point of admiration for some and a source of aversion for others. The car we tested featured a "Glossy Black Styling Kit," which provided a distinctive look with black windows and side mirrors.
At the rear, there is a clearly sporty silhouette with the RS badge and a black sporty diffuser. The trunk space is also impressive, offering a huge 530 liters, which is quite generous.
Performance
The main reason for comparing the Audi RS Q3 to the Lamborghini Urus is the sheer driving pleasure it offers. Its 5-cylinder turbocharged engine produces an impressive 400 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque.
Interior
Upon entering the vehicle, you'll encounter the renowned Audi virtual cockpit, complete with a Bang & Olufsen sound system, plenty of Alcantara leather, and a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel featuring the RS badge. The seats also sport a sporty design adorned with the same logo.
A nice feature of the car is the display under the side mirrors that projects the Audi logo onto the ground. However, I was not fond of the plastic paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, nor the limited headroom in the rear seats.
Drivetrain and Suspension
Despite the RS Q3 bearing the famous Quattro badge from Audi, it features a system that leans more toward front-wheel drive known as Haldex, meaning it is not a fully capable all-wheel-drive vehicle. The car is equipped with a 7-speed DCT gearbox that performs excellently.
You will experience sporty driving thanks to the stiff springs and a suspension lowered by 10 mm. The car is fitted with 375 mm perforated disc brakes at the front (which can be upgraded to carbon ceramic) and is mounted on 20-inch wheels.
Price and Final Comparison
Priced at 281,600 AED, the Audi RS Q3 can be deemed a well-rounded vehicle, offering a blend of daily usability and sporty dynamics, adding a thrilling touch to your life.
