Ford Everest: A Powerful SUV for the UAE Market
Introduction to the Ford Everest
The Ford Everest has made its mark across more than 100 countries worldwide and now it's looking to make its mark on the UAE market with its muscular looks, off-roading prowess, plush interior and safety features.
Design and Interior Features
Ford designers ensured that the Everest resembles a proper SUV. The front end features a mix of horizontal and vertical elements.
- Strong shoulder line from front to rear
- Vast track width for a dramatic swell over the wheels
This design gives the Everest a robust and modern appearance. Step inside, and you will feel a sense of space thanks to the coast-to-coast instrument panel and center console.
Advanced Technology
The 8-inch digital instrument panel replaces traditional analogue dials. The 12-inch infotainment screen is portrait-oriented and linked to a 360-degree camera with a split-view display. The XLT and Limited trims come with wireless charging for your phone.
Flexible Seating Options
Flexible seating has been a priority for Ford with the next-gen Everest. On premium trim models:
- The second-row slides with a 60:40 split seatback
- The 50:50 split third row can be folded with the press of a button
Both the second- and third-row seats fold flat to allow for the safe transport of large goods.
Sound Experience and Engine Options
The Everest aims to provide a best-in-class sound experience with the Bang & Olufsen 12-speaker system.
Engine Specifications
Two engines are on offer:
- 2.3-litre EcoBoost turbo petrol engine: 296 hp power and 420 Nm of torque paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
- 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine: 168 hp and 405 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Ford states that the turbo-petrol output is “more than any competitor V6.”
Off-Road Capabilities
The Everest’s 4x4 system comes with:
- 2-speed Electronic Shift On the Fly (ESOF) transfer case
- Underbody skid plates
- Rear locking differential
- Off-road driving modes
The SUV features dedicated off-road screens that display vehicle information and a front camera view of the terrain ahead, aiding in negotiating obstacles lying ahead.
Driving Aids and Safety Features
In terms of driving aids, Reverse Parking Aid, Rearview Camera, and Auto Headlamps are available on every trim of the Everest.
- The Everest XLT includes Front Parking Sensors.
- The Everest Limited features a Collision Mitigation System, Reverse Brake Assist, Blind Spot Information System with Trailer Coverage, and more.

“The Next-Gen Ford Everest is a truly remarkable vehicle – one that is capable, safe, smart, and powerful,” said Pedro Simões, Marketing Director at Ford Middle East.
Simões added, “Everest customers lead busy lives, juggling work, family time, a social life, and recreation. They need their vehicle ownership experience to be easier and more rewarding.”
