Introduction
Bentley has unveiled the all-new Continental GT Number 9 Edition, celebrating its centenary in 2019. This special edition is a perfect addition for collectors of distinctive cars.
Car Features
The Number 9 Edition of the Continental GT from Mulliner draws inspiration from Bentley's rich history in motorsport, incorporating a range of unique features into the world’s most luxurious high-performance Grand Tourer. Mulliner will handcraft only 100 units of this edition at Bentley's headquarters in Crewe, England, based on the Continental GT model.
Car History
The Number 9 Edition from Mulliner pays tribute to the legacy of Sir Henry Ralph Stanley "Tim" Birkin, one of the core members of the Bentley Boys in the 1920s and 1930s. Birkin was not just a Bentley client, but also an investor and racing driver, known for his entrepreneurial spirit and great ambition.
Blower Car
The 'Blower' car, featuring a 4-liter engine, was the result of a unique synergy between man and machine. The No.9 represented the supercharged Bentley 'Blower' driven by Sir Tim in the 1930 24 Hours of Le Mans race.
Sir Tim requested the production of a series of Bentley cars equipped with 4-liter engines enhanced by superchargers. After the installation of the supercharger, the car's power increased from approximately 110 horsepower to 175 horsepower.
Exterior Design
The Number 9 Edition from Mulliner features No.9 badges and bold graphics that harmonize with the front grille.
- Customers can choose between Viridian Green or Beluga Black for the exterior paint.
- 21-inch wheels with a 10-spoke design.
- Black Line Specification details.

- Hood and luggage compartment badges indicating the years 1919 to 2019.
Engine Performance
The new Continental GT model is equipped with a lighter, faster, and more precise W12 TSI engine, propelling the car from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds (60 mph in 3.6 seconds) and achieving a top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph).
The car can travel approximately 500 miles before needing to refuel.
