Unlike any BMW motorcycle before it, the R18 is characterized by its ability to take on any terrain, be it through city roads or over desert dunes, the R18 is unbeatably versatile.

Powered by the most powerful BMW 2-cylinder boxer engine of all time, the R18 is equipped with new air/oil coolers that provide a significant increase of torque at lower speeds. The innovative technology of the engine provides distinct performance and sovereignty – with less energy consumption.
To suit varying riding modes, the R18 offers three modes: Rain, Roll, and Rock, which enables the motorcycle to adapt to individual rider preferences. The standard trim also includes ASC (Automatic Stability Control) in addition to engine drag torque control (MSR). Among other options, a reverse assist makes maneuvering convenient, while the Hill Start Control function facilitates uphill starts.
