Ford Racing Team Sets Guinness World Record for Breast Cancer Awareness
Overview of the Record
In an attempt to raise breast cancer awareness, Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies and the Ford Racing Team set a Guinness World Record by drawing the largest breast cancer logo on asphalt. Led by Abdulhadi Al-Qahtani and Muath Al-Essa, the drawing measured 883.98 square meters – a measurement that exceeded the previous record by over 300 meters.
Purpose of the Event
The newest Guinness Record is the 57th record title for Saudi Arabia and was established to support local charities aiding breast cancer patients. Sheikh Abdullah bin Fahad Al-Kraidees, president of Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies, mentioned that the event aimed to promote two key messages:
- Awareness of Breast Cancer: Emphasizing the need for early screening and discussing health topics impacting communities.
- Safe Drifting Practices: Highlighting the importance of practicing drifting in controlled environments.
Event Execution
Achieved in a span of 45 minutes, Abdulhadi Al-Qahtani and Muath Al-Essa piloted two Ford Mustang RTRD 600s fitted with unique drift tires that emitted pink smoke. “This was a great way for AJVA to deliver a creative message about the importance of early detection of breast cancer, as well as highlighting that driving fans who enjoy drifting should practice this hobby in a safe and secure environment,” said Al-Qahtani.
