RTA's Cleaning Program Announcement
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with Dubai Municipality and other relevant service entities, announced its cleaning program for Dubai on Monday. The initiative will commence from Sheikh Zayed Road, where litter including grass and sand will be removed, with volunteers participating in the cleanup efforts.
The Significance of Sheikh Zayed Road
Engineer Maytha bin Adi, the Executive Director of the Traffic and Roads Agency, stated that Sheikh Zayed Road was chosen as the starting point due to its vital importance and strategic location, which significantly influences both the aesthetic and urban aspects of the city. The approved program includes cleaning and dust removal from the medians.
Campaign Objectives
She further emphasized that this campaign aims to enhance Dubai's character among modern global cities, reflecting the vision of progress and civilization from wise leadership, which seeks to transform the emirate into a center of attraction aligned with ongoing advancements across various fronts.
