2025 Audi A5 and S5 Models Overview

Audi announced the all-new A5 and S5 models in July 2024 as direct replacements for the outgoing A4. These models are expected to arrive in the Middle East in late 2024 or early 2025, comprising two variants: the A5 Sedan and the A5 Avant. The all-new S5 Sedan and S5 Avant will follow shortly after.
While official UAE pricing is yet to be released, the starting price of the 2025 Audi A5 in Germany begins at EUR 45,200, which translates to approximately AED 180,000. It is anticipated that the starting price in the UAE will be considerably higher. Additionally, Audi is undergoing a rebranding effort where internal combustion cars will carry odd numbers, while electric models will bear even numbers. For example, the 2025 Audi A5 is an ICE model, whereas the Q8 e-tron represents an electric option. The A4 will transition to a fully electric model in its next generation.
Design

The exterior of the 2025 Audi A5 features a clean yet stately Sedan form and a modern yet sporty Avant form. Key design elements include:
- New Singleframe grille with a 3D honeycomb structure
- Flared intakes and bold wheel designs
- LED headlights and DRLs with 3D design elements
- Modern OLED taillights for intricate light displays
The full-width LED strip and sporty rear fascia complement the flared fenders and rising shoulder line of the new A5 Sedan, creating a strong yet poised stance. The 2025 Audi A5 Avant, with its sloped D-pillars and stretched body, makes a bold first impression. Both models feature flush door handles for a cleaner look, and the S5 variants enhance sportiness with aggressive wheels and bumpers.

Audi has incorporated indirect illumination and contour lighting throughout the cabin. The sloped roof of the A5 Avant may feel tight for rear passengers, but the panoramic glass roof enhances the visual space. The interior can be upgraded with options such as:
- Plush leather
- High-quality fabric blends
- Wood trim
- Shiny piano black plastic
Three digital displays enhance the cabin experience, including:
- A 14.5-inch MMI touchscreen
- An 11.9-inch Virtual Cockpit display

The 2025 Audi A5 utilizes the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture and is equipped with a 48-volt MHEV plus onboard electrical system. All variants except the entry-level A5 are mild hybrids featuring a lithium iron phosphate (LiPo) battery and a 24-horsepower powertrain generator (PTG), enabling low-speed 'EV' mode driving for fuel efficiency and emissions reduction.
The 2025 Audi A5 comes with a dual-clutch automatic transmission, while the base variant, not classified as a hybrid, features front-wheel drive and a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine producing 148 hp. An alternative engine option delivers 201 hp with Quattro all-wheel drive, while the top-end 2025 Audi S5 boasts a 3.0-liter V6 TFSI engine generating 362 hp.
