Details of the Auction
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai will allocate the proceeds from six unique number plates associated with the life of Sheikh Zayed, marked with the letter 'Z', for charitable activities during the annual Zayed auction on November 17.
Number of Plates Participating
There will be a total of 80 distinctive plates available at the upcoming auction, featuring either two, three, four, or five digits with the following letters:
- J
- K
- L
- M
- N
- O
- P
- Q
- R
- S
- T
- U
- X
The auction will also showcase the double number plate 'AA88'.
Unique Number Plates
The six special number plates designated for charitable revenue include:
- Z 1918: This plate represents the birth year of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
- Z 1946: This plate signifies the year he assumed leadership in Al Ain.
- Z 1968: This plate marks the first meeting between the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
- Z 68: This plate also commemorates the first meeting between Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid.
- Z 1971: This plate symbolizes the year of the UAE's foundation and the raising of the Emirates flag.
- Z 2018: This plate celebrates the centenary of Sheikh Zayed's legacy and achievements.
How to Register for the Auction
Participants can register through the RTA website at www.rta.ae or at customer happiness centers located in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, and the Al Twar Municipality Center. Registration will also be available on the day of the auction (November 17) from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
Participation Requirements
To participate in the auction, prospective buyers must have a traffic file in Dubai, deposit a refundable cheque of AED 25,000 in case of unsuccessful bidding, and pay a registration fee of AED 120.
