Introduction
Global EVRT is an organization dedicated to raising awareness about electric vehicles and their benefits. Now, it has arrived in the UAE to launch its campaign, Electric Vehicle Journey in the UAE (Emirates EVRT).
Objectives
With the rapid adoption of electric vehicles and a shift towards a sustainable and clean future, this event aligns with the UAE Vision 2021, which aims to enhance air quality and promote the use of clean energy.
Event Details
Over four days, from January 29 to February 1, 2017, the event will feature 10 electric vehicles covering a distance of 700 km across the UAE, showcasing the latest technology and their role in promoting clean technology.
Participation
A selection of remarkable electric vehicles will participate, including the Tesla Model X and Model S, Renault Zoe, and a modified Volkswagen that will transport 40 people around the UAE to unveil new charging stations in Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Abu Dhabi.

Commenting on the upcoming journey, Ben Pullen, Founder and Managing Director of Global EVRT, stated, "We are excited to begin the Electric Vehicle Journey in the UAE. The UAE is a fantastic location for such events, as the Emirati government has taken proactive steps towards sustainable transport and energy solutions."
Stages of the Journey
The journey is divided into two parts. The first phase will kick off with renowned guest Robert Llewellyn, who will introduce new charging stations located on Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah, at Novotel Hotel in Fujairah, and Sofitel Corniche in Abu Dhabi.
Second Phase
The second phase will commence on the third day and continue until the end of the event, featuring a tour of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park and the Sustainable City, where the public can celebrate the completion of the journey and meet the event participants.
