About the Program
In collaboration with Effat University, Ford Motor has launched a specialized program to equip Saudi women with essential driving skills for safe living. This program, titled "Ford's Driving Skills for Safe Living for Women," follows the landmark decision made by His Royal Highness King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud last year, allowing women to drive in the Kingdom.

This driving skills program provides access to training and experiences that help women feel safe and confident behind the wheel.
Program Details
Based on global safe driving initiatives, the Driving Skills for Safe Living program offers an introductory course focusing on:
- Building women's confidence behind the wheel
- Expanding their knowledge of vehicles
- Preparing them for driving lessons
- Instilling safe driving practices before hitting the roads
Impact of the Program
This marks the first time in the world that an introductory safe driving skills program specifically for women has been introduced. Training is conducted by certified instructors on the Effat University campus in Jeddah, and the program will run for four days, from March 5 to 8. The program aims to train over 250 students from Effat University, encompassing four units focusing on car driving:
- Understanding the vehicle
- Distraction scenarios
- How to cope when feeling fatigued
- Braking techniques
