The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has announced that all parking spaces across the emirate will be free on Sunday, November 18, in celebration of Prophet Muhammad's birthday. According to the statement from the RTA, parking in all areas will be free, except for multi-level parking facilities, with standard charges resuming the following day.
RTA Procedures
In conjunction with this occasion, all customer happiness centers run by the RTA will be closed on Sunday, except for the Umm Ramool branch and the main office of the Authority. Partner centers, including vehicle registration centers, will also be closed.
Public Transport
The schedules for the Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram will remain unaffected, and services will continue without any changes to the timetable.
Marine Transport Services
For those relying on marine transport services, please note that the traditional 'abra' service will operate at Dubai Creek stations (Baniyas, Old Dubai Market, Al Seef) from 10 AM to 12 PM. The Sheikh Zayed Road abra station will operate from 4 PM to 10 PM.
