Genesis Wins 'Good Design®' 2022 Awards for G90 and ccIC System

Introduction
Today, Genesis, the global luxury automobile brand, announced its victory in two categories at the “Good Design®” 2022 awards. The G90 model and the ccIC infotainment system won accolades in the transportation category, recognized for their innovative and distinguished designs that set new trends for future automotive innovations.
Awards for the G90 Model
The flagship sedan, which epitomizes the most elegant expression of the Korean brand's design identity, has received numerous prestigious awards over the past year, including:
- Best Car of 2023 by Motor Trend last November
- International Design Excellence Award in September
- Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS)
The vehicle features leading-edge safety technologies that achieve record-high safety ratings.
Design of the G90
On this occasion, Sang Yup Lee, the Executive Vice President and Head of the Genesis Global Design Center, stated: "The G90 embodies the ultimate expression of sporty elegance, creating a harmonious balance in an astonishingly innovative way, carefully blending dynamic driving with a comfortable rear seat experience."
He added: "The car has been designed remarkably, summarizing a journey driven by passion, dedication, and the creative collaboration of our design team and engineers at our research and development center in Namyang, South Korea."
ccIC Infotainment System
The ccIC infotainment system, based on a digital interface, enhances the driving experience since its introduction in the GV60. This system offers a range of features that elevate the Genesis driving experience to new heights through an integrated experience that connects:
- The Head-Up Display (HUD)
- The instrument cluster
- Audio and video (AVNT)
These elements provide a panoramic view to enrich the driving experience.
Good Design Awards
The “Good Design®” awards, one of the oldest awards dedicated to design excellence worldwide, recognizes outstanding design in commercial and graphic products. The awards ceremony has been held annually since 1950, organized by the Chicago Museum of Architecture and the European Center for Architecture, Art, Design, and Urban Studies.
The 2022 "Good Design" awards featured 32 different categories, with a panel of experts carefully evaluating over 1,100 submissions to select the best innovative designs across each category.
