2017 New York Auto Show: Key New Models
The New York Auto Show runs from April 12 to April 23, and it is one of the most anticipated auto shows for car enthusiasts and manufacturers alike.
New Models at the Show
This year's edition will feature several new models, including:
- Chevrolet Corvette Carbon 65
- Dodge Challenger SRT Demon
- Koenigsegg Agera RS1
- Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet
Chevrolet Corvette Carbon 65
The Chevrolet Corvette Carbon 65 is a sports car created to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the first Corvette produced. Production will be limited to just 650 units.
The car features a carbon fiber rear spoiler, air ducts on the shoulders also made of carbon fiber, a carbon fiber steering wheel, a front splitter, blue brake calipers, and competition sport seats.
Dodge Challenger SRT Demon
Dodge claims that its new Demon is currently the fastest production car in terms of acceleration. The Demon is based on the company's Hellcat, which generates an impressive 707 horsepower.
The company has managed to increase the horsepower to 840 in the Demon. It features a large supercharger, increased boost pressure, new pistons, and dual-stage fuel pumps, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.3 seconds.
Koenigsegg Agera RS1
The latest Swedish hypercar will take the concept of stunning automobiles to a new realm. The Agera RS1 is painted in white with blue accents.
Inside, it features blue Alcantara upholstery with carbon fiber and black aluminum accents. The car maintains its performance with 1,360 horsepower and 1,370 Nm of torque.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet sits between the larger S-Class Cabriolet and the smaller, sleeker C-Class Cabriolet.
The E-Class Cabriolet offers Mercedes-Benz's all-wheel-drive system (4MATIC) and is expected to arrive in the Middle East within the next two months.
