Executive Insights
Mike Song, Head of Hyundai Operations in Africa and the Middle East, highlighted the Sonata's "long history of success in the region," noting that it consistently ranks among the "most popular models in its class." He added, "We have high expectations for the new eighth-generation model, which features a distinctive sporty design reminiscent of coupe vehicles, alongside exceptional quality and value in the market."
He further explained, "The other model, the Palisade, expands our vehicle offerings to encompass new market segments, delivering the same high standards as the new Sonata. It is a standout product for Hyundai as a large family SUV, allowing us to attract new customers while serving the evolving needs of our loyal Hyundai owners."
Model Launch
Hyundai first unveiled the Palisade at the Los Angeles Auto Show last November, while the Sonata was presented to the public in March. The company plans to hold a launch event in South Korea for both models specifically tailored for the Middle Eastern and African markets, with shipments expected to arrive in the region during the summer.
