Mike Song, Chief Operations Officer for Hyundai in Africa and the Middle East, stated in an official announcement, "There is no doubt that alternative fuels will be utilized in vehicles in the very near future, but the path from where we are now to where we need to be remains unclear. We expect the industry to gradually shift towards electric power as it is the cleanest and most efficient option, with the crucial question being how we can generate and store energy for electric vehicles?"
Trends in the Electric Vehicle Market in the Gulf
Commenting on the Gulf market, Song added, "In the Gulf region specifically, we are witnessing high levels of support for electric vehicles, which are part of a broader campaign in the area to utilize renewable energy.
