Birthday Adventure: Ziplining with Jeep at Jabal Jais
Celebrating my birthday by crossing something off my bucket list was the perfect way to kick off being 26! Our good friends at Jeep know how to deliver an adrenaline rush, and they took us to experience the world’s longest zipline at Jabal Jais, the highest peak in the UAE, located in Ras Al Khaimah.
The thrilling experience began with a meetup in Al Quoz, where it was exciting to see that Jeep had selected just three lucky individuals to try out the zipline along with them.
The drive from our meetup point in Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah took about an hour and a half. I had the pleasure of driving the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, the top model in the Wrangler lineup. The car immediately made me feel at home with its comfortable interiors and user-friendly Uconnect system featuring Apple CarPlay. Loaded with fuel, snacks, and juice, we began our fun drive towards Jabal Jais.
Testing out the 3.6-liter V6 engine was an enjoyable experience, especially since I was driving the 3-door model. It provided a smooth yet sporty feel on the roads and handled off-road conditions effortlessly. Jabal Jais features several sharp corners while driving uphill, and the Jeep performed far better than I anticipated. The climb to the top was easy, and I didn't have to push the car much on the steep roads.
Welcoming at ToroVerde
At the top, we were greeted by the friendly ToroVerde Team, the largest aerial adventure park in the world, now offering adrenaline-filled experiences in the UAE. I donned my zipline safety gear, which included various straps and buckles, instantly adding weight to my outfit. The highlight of my gear was a helmet with a mounted GoPro, making me feel like a unicorn.
Journey to the Zipline Station
After our safety briefing, we needed to ascend higher up the mountain to reach the zipline station. We were escorted to the station in a Jabal Jais branded Jeep Wrangler Sahara, which enhanced our experience on the rocky mountain terrain.
Preparing for the Zipline Experience
As I stood at the top of the zipline, I had butterflies in my stomach, and the Jeep team was incredibly motivating and excited, helping to ease our nerves.
The Zipline Experience
Finally boarding my flight, I found it hard to describe the experience in words, as it was simply extraordinary. Ziplining is not intimidating or scary; rather, it makes you feel powerful and exhilarated.
It was the perfect birthday gift, and I couldn’t have wished for a better start to my 26th year. Yay Jeep!
