2015 Subaru WRX: Features and Specifications

Introduction

Subaru’s next generation WRX will debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Show in November. The new WRX is expected to go on sale in the first half of 2014 as a 2015 model.

Design Changes

The 2015 WRX will feature:

• A conventional sedan body
• A taller roof
• Narrower fenders
• Lower air intakes
• Smaller rear diffuser
• Signature WRX hood design

Engine Specifications

Regarding the powertrain, the 2015 WRX is expected to feature:

• A 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine
• 265 horsepower
• 330 Nm of torque

The 2015 WRX STI will have the same engine but is anticipated to produce 305 horsepower or even more.

Performance Enhancements

The performance of the 2015 WRX will be improved due to:

• A lighter curb weight
• Improved suspension
• A more aerodynamic body
