History of the Royal Series

Maserati has a long-standing tradition of creating unique models and exclusive series. One notable example is the "Royal" version of the 1986 third-generation Quattroporte, which featured a striking redesign in green and blue, enhanced interior, soft leather seats, and extensive wood trim on the dashboard and door panels.

The "Quattroporte Royal" was powered by a robust 4.9-liter V8 engine delivering 300 horsepower, with only 51 units produced.

Launch of the New Royal Series

Today, Maserati honors its rich heritage by launching a special series bearing the same name, available across all models equipped with a six-cylinder engine in its current lineup:

A total of 100 units of the Royal series will be produced, featuring six-cylinder gasoline engines with power outputs of 350 and 430 horsepower and a capacity of 3 liters. The new Royal series is adorned in two unique colors: Royal Blue (Blu Royale) and Royal Green (Verde Royale).

Interior Design of the Royal Series

The interior designs of the Royal series, based on the "GranLusso" trims, are available in brown "Zegna Pelli Tessuta" leather or black/brown "Pieno Fiore" leather.

"Zegna Pelli Tessuta" is a specially crafted leather fabric designed for Maserati interiors.

It is meticulously crafted using thin strips of Nappa leather to create an ultra-luxurious texture that is lightweight, soft, and durable all at once.

Equipment and Features

The exclusive Royal series boasts a wide range of features, including standard packages for "Cold Weather," "Premium," and "Driver Assistance."

Whether navigating city streets or embarking on a long journey through nature, Maserati provides the highest levels of performance, luxury, and safety on the road.

Driver Assistance Systems

The Levante, Quattroporte, and Ghibli models from the Royal series come equipped with a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems designed to respond to potential road hazards while enhancing the comfort and safety of both the driver and passengers.

Advanced Technologies

The Royal series features the Maserati Touch Control (MTC+) screen, an easy-to-use 8.4-inch touchscreen located at the center of the dashboard.

This unit controls all major vehicle functions, including front seat heating, ventilation, steering wheel heating, and rear sunshade operation if equipped.

Additionally, the screen displays images from the rearview camera with guidelines for ease of use.

Availability of the Cars

With the first batch of these vehicles set to launch by March 2020, applications for purchase are now open, noting that this is an exclusive release limited to only 100 cars.
