McLaren Begins Deliveries of the Artura Supercar in UAE
Introduction
McLaren has started delivering the very first Arturas to customers in the UAE. As most readers will know, the Artura marks the beginning of a new chapter in the carmaker’s history, being built from the ground up on an all-new platform.
Performance and Technology
The Artura also sports McLaren’s cutting-edge hybrid technology, previously seen in the P1, featuring an all-new lightweight V6 petrol engine paired with a hybrid e-motor system. Combined, these technologies produce:
- Power: 671 bhp
- Torque: 720 Nm
- Acceleration: 0-100 km/h in 3.0 seconds
- Acceleration: 0-200 km/h in 8.3 seconds
The Artura can also run on electric mode alone, meaning you won’t always have to disturb the neighbors while driving it out of your garage.
Launch Event
At its grand launch in the UAE, McLaren organized a track day event at the Dubai Autodrome, where VIP guests were invited to test drive the supercar. Performance Tuning L.L.C., part of the Khalifa Juma Al Nabooda Group of Companies, represented McLaren UAE at the event, and the retailer will be handling the deliveries.
Future Developments
McLaren will also be opening a brand new Service Centre in the UAE shortly, along with a state-of-the-art showroom, currently under construction, set to open in 2023.
