BMW has unveiled the all-new 2026 iX3, the first vehicle constructed on its brand-new Neue Klasse (New Class) EV platform. It rockets from 0–60 mph in under 5 seconds and tops out near 130 mph. A smaller battery pack allows fast charging speeds up to 400 kW, topping off with 230 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
Others forecast outstanding WLTP ratings of as much as 500 miles for the European market, though actual results are likely to differ.
Plug-and-Play Tech
The iX3 heralds a move toward software-first design. It introduces BMW's "Heart of Joy" central computer, which integrates powertrain, stability, and comfort functions into one super-intelligent unit.
