Next-gen Continental GT to be most powerful Bentley ever!
Tags:
Bentley bid adieu to its iconic 6-liter W-12 engine a few weeks ago. Truly the end of an era. As one era ends, a new one begins. Behold the all-new plug-in hybrid twin-turbo V8 which makes its first appearance in the all-new Continental GT.
Headline statement? The debutant hybrid V8 powertrain packs a whopping 771 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque and will make the 2025 Continental GT the most powerful Bentley… ever. It will even have more power than the beautifully coach-built Bacalar.
But raw power is just the beginning. The new Continental GT will also feature an array of cutting-edge technologies like an all-new chassis, four-wheel steering and all-wheel drive with torque vectoring. Bentley claims that the new Continental GT will be the "most dynamically capable Bentley road car in the company's 105-year history," thanks to innovations such as dual-valve dampers, a limited-slip differential, and 48-volt electric anti-roll technology.
The teaser shots show the car covered in a superhero-movie style camo wrap. Eagle-eyed readers will be able to notice Bacalar-style single-units headlights instead of the two-sphere headlight cluster that has been synonymous with Bentleys since long.
All will be revealed next month with the Conti-GT’s reveal marking the start of a new era for Bentley, as part of which, it will hybridize its entire range by 2026.
