Introduction to Nismo
Nismo is a term derived from the fusion of Nissan and Motorsport, representing Nissan's motorsport division. This division is responsible for tuning Nissan's sports cars and enhancing their performance through high-performance settings on engines and aerodynamically optimized exterior designs. Established in 1984, Nismo has gained fame for modifying iconic Nissan vehicles, most notably the Skyline GT-R and the Patrol.
2018 Nissan Leaf
Recently, Nissan unveiled the latest model of its popular electric car in the Middle East, the Nissan Leaf. The 2018 model showcases a completely redesigned exterior that reflects the company's vision for future designs. With its new electric capabilities, the 2018 Leaf can travel up to 400 km on a single charge.
Nissan Leaf Nismo
Just as the excitement around the launch of Nissan's new Leaf was settling, the company released new images revealing the sporty version of this vehicle, the Nissan Leaf Nismo. With this new prototype, Nissan demonstrated that they are not the only ones venturing into the production of high-performance electric cars, indicating that the Leaf will not merely be an ordinary hatchback.
As is typical for Nissan Nismo vehicles, the design of the sporty Leaf features similar aggressive styling cues found on all Nismo cars, including prominent red accents throughout its exterior design.
Currently, no additional information has been released beyond these recently published images, as the official unveiling of this prototype is set to take place at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month.
