Overview of the Formula E Season Finale

Big companies and several racing icons seem to be placing overwhelmingly large wagers on the Formula E Season Finale. Nissan e.dams is all set to embark to Berlin to win the ABB FIA World Championship season. It had delivered amazingly well at the Tempelhof Airport Circuit where they clinched the 2nd position during the 2019/20 season.

Driver Highlights

Winning significant acclaim during the 2019/20 season, one of Nissan’s Formula E drivers, Sebastian Buemi, earned the respect of the crowd by registering his first win from the 12 races in the season six finale. He is a formidable contender and expects to maintain the alacrity and rapidity at the final double-header event this year. It will be exciting to see how the participants tackle driving in both directions at the circuit, which makes it quite a Sisyphean task.

Preparations for the Final Races

Sebastian Buemi comments: “London was a challenging event for us, but we come to Berlin knowing that our car is fast in qualifying and the race. It is important that we maximize this speed over every lap as we search for points in the last two races of the season. We owe it to our amazing fans to put on a good show at the Berlin finale.”

Insights on Electric Mobility

Nissan e.dams Sustainability

Racing in the highly coveted Formula E event will provide Nissan with insights about electric mobility and bring them one step closer to providing all-electric vehicles by 2030. They aim to transfer their knowledge and specialization in the electric vehicle segment from race cars to everyday vehicles. This aligns with their goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

Nissan global Motorsports director, Tommaso Volpe asserts: “The results didn’t go our way at the previous rounds in London, but Seb and Oli showed good pace in both qualifying and the races. With our successes last time out in Berlin, and our strong overall pace in London, we will be racing harder than ever at the Tempelhof track to try and finish season seven on a high.”

Community Engagement and Sustainability Efforts

Nissan Community Initiative

It's heartening to see the Japanese brand take colossal steps towards a sustainable future by participating in the i-rEzEPT project in Germany, heralded by the German Federal Ministry of Transport. Through this initiative, Nissan aims to reduce reliance on the public power grid by providing 13 lucky dwellers with a photovoltaic system and a Nissan Leaf that utilizes self-generated solar power. This initiative is expected to reduce the operating costs of the EV.

Nissan Racing

Speaking of the races, the second driver, Oliver Rowland, says: “I started from the front row at the previous race in London, and I took my first Formula E win in Berlin. I’m hoping that this combination of London speed and success last time in Berlin will power us into the points this weekend. We really want to finish the season on a high and we’ll be racing harder than ever.”

Team Spirit and Goals

“It’s the last two races of the season in Berlin and the team is fired up to put on a good performance for the fans,” said Olivier Driot, co-team principal of Nissan e.dams. “Seb, Oli and our new Nissan Formula E powertrain have the speed; we just need to put together a clean and consistent race weekend and the points will come.”
