Nissan GT-R Sets a New Record in India
Nissan's Celebration in India
Nissan Motor Corporation is celebrating its 68th anniversary in India by setting a new record, paying homage to the country and its people. The iconic Nissan GT-R took to the expansive map of India, covering an area of 3 square kilometers in the dry Sambhar Lake located in Rajasthan.
Launch Details
This location was chosen for its unique geographical features, characterized by soft, dry soil that provided the perfect backdrop for aerial filming via a drone.
Thanks to the exceptional steering capabilities and all-wheel-drive system of the legendary Nissan GT-R, the car was able to maneuver swiftly across the soft terrain of the dry lake bed.
Driving the Car
The car was driven by professional rally driver Rahul Kanthraj, with the route mapped out using GPS technology, covering a length of 3 kilometers and a width of 2.8 kilometers, with a perimeter of 14.7 kilometers.
Event Monitoring
Officials from the Limca Book of Records (the Indian equivalent of the Guinness World Records) were present to ensure the authenticity of the entire process. Nissan also released a special video of the Nissan GT-R during this event, which was dedicated to India on its Republic Day.
