Nissan Kicks: A New Compact Crossover for the Youth
Introduction to the Nissan Kicks
Nissan has produced another crossover model following the Juke, X-Trail, Murano, and Pathfinder. Introducing the new Kicks, a compact crossover designed specifically for the youth.
Unveiled at the 2014 São Paulo International Motor Show, the Kicks is currently aimed at the South American market and will be manufactured in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. However, Nissan has stated that it will be available in over 80 countries, so we can expect it to reach the Middle East as well.
Design of the Nissan Kicks
The Nissan Kicks closely resembles the concept car previously revealed. It's rare in the automotive world for a production car to maintain the same look as its concept version.
Externally, the Kicks showcases Nissan's signature design with its front grille, headlights, taillights, and other trademark details. Inside, the design is straightforward, featuring a flat-bottom steering wheel and a medium-sized infotainment screen.
Notably, it comes equipped with a 360-degree camera and motion detection technology, which, according to Nissan, is a first in its class.
Statements from Nissan
Keno Kato, Vice President of Nissan Product Planning, stated that they designed this compact crossover in their distinctive style, naming it the Kicks. He credited their expertise in crafting vehicles that meet global customer demands. He added that the Kicks features a unique design, is highly practical, and packed with technology.
