Nissan Patrol Breaks Guinness World Record
Record-Breaking Achievement
The Nissan Patrol has successfully set a new record in the "Guinness World Records" for the largest synchronized car dance parade. A total of 180 vehicles participated in this spectacular event, moving in unison to form the shape of a giant desert falcon, marking the third record for the Nissan Patrol in the Guinness World Records.
Event Details
This remarkable achievement took place at "The Sevens" rugby stadium in Dubai, where it surpassed the previous world record by 36 vehicles. The parade was led by international racing driver Axel Gieferis, and the display featured a line of cars moving in the opposite direction to create the falcon figure, covering a total distance of 1,476 meters.
The 180 cars spread over an area measuring 176.5 x 225 meters, collectively creating the image of a falcon. From above, the arrangement of the cars resembled a giant falcon soaring above the sands of the Arabian Peninsula.
Previous Records
This is the third record set by the Nissan Patrol in the "Guinness World Records":
- In September 2015, the vehicle achieved a record for the fastest time to ascend a 100-meter sand dune in just 4.9 seconds.
- In August 2013, it successfully towed the world's heaviest aircraft for over 164 feet (50 meters) during an event held at Sharjah International Airport in the UAE.
Launch of New Models
The celebration of the official Guinness records coincided with the launch of three new Nissan Patrol models this month:
- Patrol Safari "Falcon"
- Patrol "Gazelle"
- Patrol "Gazelle X"
These vehicles are designed exclusively for Nissan customers in the Middle East, with their names inspired by the falcon image created during the record-setting parade.

Commenting on the new record, Kalyana Sivagnanam, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Nissan Africa, the Middle East, and India, stated:
"At Nissan, we are committed to delivering 'innovation that excites' to our customers, and we are thrilled that the Patrol has set a new Guinness World Record..."
Meanwhile, Juergen Schmitz, Managing Director of Nissan Middle East, remarked:
"What makes this achievement special is that all the participants in the parade are Nissan employees..."
Nissan Patrol's Popularity
The Nissan Patrol lineup enjoys widespread popularity in the Middle East. According to Nissan Middle East's financial results for 2017, the market share for all Patrol models increased by 11.4% compared to the previous fiscal year, making it the best-selling large SUV in the UAE.
Other Records
This latest achievement in the "Guinness World Records" marks the sixth record for Nissan Middle East, with the iconic Patrol holding three of those titles.
