New Variable Parking Charges in Dubai to Take Effect from April 2025
Tags:
Dubai, UAE – Starting April 2025, Dubai will implement a new variable parking fee structure designed to optimize parking space usage and reduce congestion in high-traffic areas. Parkin, the official parking operator, is introducing peak and off-peak pricing, significantly impacting premium parking spots across the city.
Peak and Off-Peak Parking Rates
During peak hours (8:00 AM – 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM), premium parking fees will rise to AED 6 per hour in high-demand locations such as business districts, metro stations, and major shopping centers. Regular parking spaces will continue to be priced at AED 4 per hour. Off-peak rates for premium parking will be AED 4 per hour, making parking more affordable outside rush hours.
Premium Parking Zones Criteria
- Located within 500 meters of metro stations
- High occupancy rates during peak hours
- Situated in dense commercial districts
The revised pricing model, initially planned for March 2025, will officially launch in early April following a broader announcement in March.
