Porsche Racing Day at Yas Marina
The Event
The Porsche Club UAE hosted an exciting event on Friday, the 13th of this month, where over 100 Porsche cars gathered, showcasing various models including the Boxster and GT3 RS.
Event Details
The festivities commenced at the main lobby of the Yas Marina Grand Prix Circuit at 5:45 PM. Registration opened at 5:55 PM and concluded at 7:15 PM for beginners and participants. Expert drivers arrived by 7:30 PM, and the doors closed at 8:00 PM. Everyone gathered for a 15-minute briefing that included:
- Explanation of race flags
- Schedule overview
- Safety protocols
Afterward, everyone proceeded to the car area, where the excitement of racing began.
The Races
The atmosphere was calm as drivers prepared themselves, checking their equipment and vehicles. Soon, the excitement escalated. The roar of the engines was exhilarating as the groups headed to the track.
The cars raced on the Yas Marina circuit for hours. The experience was incredibly enjoyable, filled with thrilling moments and stories shared by the racers. The event was a resounding success, with many declaring it the best year for the Porsche Club UAE.
After the races, everyone was invited to celebrate throughout the night at the Viceroy Hotel rooftop.
