The Smart Tablets (iPads) project has been launched by the Licensing Agency of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai, as announced in a media statement.

According to the statement, the iPads have been distributed to inspectors at the Roads and Transport Authority as the initial phase of this project.
Importance of Smart Tablets
Sultan Al Marzouqi, the Director of the Licensing Agency at the RTA, emphasized the necessity of transitioning services and vehicle driver testing to electronic methods in line with ongoing changes. By providing iPads to inspectors during practical tests, the process of licensing is made easier through:
- Accurate note-taking.
- Recording errors made by trainees during the test.
- Offering a clearer and more precise method compared to traditional handwritten notes on paper.
Technical Features of Smart Tablets
Additionally, these tablets can calculate all errors and are connected to the internet, linking directly to the electronic traffic system, which displays the final result for the trainee.
