In the realm of mind-boggling hypercars - mostly electric these days - the Hennessey Venom F5 has always been a standout with its blue-blooded American performance from its mad V8.
Now, Hennessey has taken things to a new level with the introduction of the Venom F5-M Roadster, a limited-edition model that brings a six-speed manual transmission into the mix. Yes, THIS is the fastest manual production car ever. For those of you who don’t remember, this title was previously held by the Koenigsegg CC850. Your turn, Mr. Koenigsegg.
Power and Performance: No Compromises
The Venom F5-M Roadster retains the impressive powertrain of the standard model. Under the hood, the 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged ‘Fury’ V8 engine continues to deliver a colossal 1,817 horsepower and 1,193 lb-ft of torque. The shift to a six-speed manual gearbox doesn’t alter these figures, but it does change how that power is harnessed.

The F5-M Roadster continues to boast a 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 311 mph, retaining its position amongst the world’s fastest cars.
The manual transmission introduces revised gearing ratios, which means drivers won’t access the full power potential until fourth gear. This adjustment provides a more gradual increase in power delivery, creating a different driving experience compared to the instantaneous thrust of the standard model.
Aerodynamic Enhancements and Exterior Design
The F5-M Roadster features several aerodynamic enhancements designed to complement its new manual transmission. The most noticeable addition is a 55-inch dorsal fin, extending from a new roof scoop to the rear deck. This is paired with new carbon canards integrated into the front splitter, which, along with other body kit sections, are subtly slimmer than those on the standard F5 Roadster. The car also sports a new satin finish on the alloys and a bespoke livery featuring central lines with contrasting accents, highlighting its exclusivity.

Interior Refinements: Function Meets Style
Inside, the F5-M Roadster’s interior has been updated to accommodate the new manual gearbox. The center console now features horizontal air vents, and the air conditioning controls have been redesigned to fit seamlessly with the new layout. A notable change includes the billet aluminum and carbon-fiber gear stick, which sits alongside jet-fighter-inspired toggle switches for the windows. These updates not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also ensure that the manual driving experience is fully integrated into the car’s luxurious environment.

Can you buy one?
For those interested in acquiring one, the F5-M Roadster has already sold out, with each unit priced at approximately US$2.65 million. This limited run of 12 vehicles will be part of the complete 30-unit series of Venom F5 Roadsters. Better luck next time, maybe.
